The Atlanta Koi Club proudly announces its12^th Annual Koi and Inaugural Goldfish Show.  As evidenced by the change in title, for the first time, there will be a goldfish segment of the show.  We hope this adds to your enjoyment of the event.

Because of the immense support that we have had over this past 11 years, we fully expect this show to be our biggest and most successful show ever. We’re making every reasonable effort to have all people that have contributed to this success back to help us celebrate these wonderful 12 years. Your presence, support, and continued contribution have been the #1 reason for our success.

Here is the a PDF version of the show booklet.  You will need to print it out on 8.5" x 11" paper.  Then fold it in half so that the book is 8.5" tall and 5.5" wide.

Show Dates: September 15–17, 2006. 

Show Times: 

• Friday the 15th:  Vendor booth setup and fish benching 1P.M. to 7P.M.
• Saturday the 16th: Open to the public 9A.M. to 5P.M.
• Sunday the 17th:  Open to the public 9A.M. to 2P.M.

Admission:  Free!

Location:  The location is Coastal Pond Supply, 2101 Tucker Industrial Road, Tucker, GA 30083.  Tucker is east of downtown Atlanta on the I-285 loop and near the Stone Mountain attraction

Show Pins

Our Koi Show pins are a series custom designed for us by Norman Call, a Certified AKCA Judge.  The show pins will be available for sale at the club booth at the show.

Nishikigoi Judges

We are honored to have the following Certified Judges for the koi show:

Head Judge:  Pam Spindola, Year Certified: 2004 (AKCA), Years in Hobby: 28 years

Goldfish Judge

Scott Taylor became interested in goldfish in the mid 1980's.  He joined the Goldfish Society of America (GFSA) in 1987 and has been active ever since.  He is a member of the Board for the GFSA and serves as Goodwill Ambassador.  He  became a Head Goldfish Judge in 1997.  He has judged about 21 shows, and recently judged the goldfish show in Louisville, Kentucky. He is very excited about judging the first Goldfish Show at the Atlanta Koi Show.

Here is the Exhibitor Packet.  It contains the show rules, registration form, info on the awards and award banquet, hotel info, directions to the show, and much more.  If you are an Exhibitor of fish, be sure to send in your registration form and payment as quickly as possible. 

Special note:  If you plan to visit the fantastic Georgia Aquarium, please plan ahead and secure tickets well in advance. Each ticket is for entry at a specific date and time.    www.georgiaquarium.org.

The online ordering method is to use PayPal.   You would go to www.paypal.com

Please be sure to accurately total the cost for the shirts plus shipping.  Please add $3.00 for the shipping for the first shirt.  The shipping for each subsequent shirt in the same order is $1.00

Hotel Reservations

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hampton Inn located at 1737 Mountain Industrial Blvd, Tucker, GA 30083.  A discounted rate of $89.00 is being offered to show participants.  These rates are valid until August 10, 2006.  

Any reservations after August 10^th will be booked at their regular room rates.

For reservations, call 770-934-0004 and mention the Atlanta Koi Club or Atlanta Koi Show to receive the discounted room rate. The hotel is located minutes from the show venue at the intersection of Mountain Industrial Blvd and HWY 78.

Directions to Show Site

From Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport

Exit the airport on I-85 South. Follow signs toward directing you to Macon or I-285 East. Continue on I-285 East (forget about Macon). You will have gotten on I-285 at exit #61. Continue East (exit numbers go down) about 20 miles to exit #39 or Highway 78 East towards Stone Mountain. Take route 78 (Stone-Mountain Expressway) East from I-285 to the second exit, Mountain Industrial Blvd. Turn left. Go North over 78 and turn left in 2–3 blocks just after Sam’s Club on your left. Go one short block, and turn right. We are ½ long block up Tucker Industrial Road on your right.

 From Atlanta/I-285 loop

Take route 78 (Stone-Mountain Expressway) East from I-285 to the second exit, Mountain Industrial Blvd. Turn left. Go North over 78 and turn left in 2 – 3 blocks just after Sam’s Club on your left.  Go one short block, turn right; we are ½ long block up Tucker Industrial Road on your right.

Koi Awards and Award Sponsors

For Nishikigoi (traditional koi) our show has 15 Classes and 6 Sizes.  For Butterfly koi there are 3 Classes and two sizes.  In the table below each combination of a Class and a Size has listed "1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place".  This is a set of 3 ribbons.
